• Turning Point: Returning from half-time, the Canadians established a good defense and got their rhythm on offense, to create a 25 – 16 quarter. The advantage captured during the third quarter would remain for the rest of the game.

• Stats don’t lie: Canada dominated the painted area, scoring 10 more points than the Brazilian from under the basket, 40 – 30, and capturing 7 more rebounds, 34 – 27.

• Game Hero: Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe was the top player for the Canadians with 18 points, 5 rebounds and an assist.

• The Bottom Line: The Gold Medal match of this 2015 FIBA Americas Women’s Championship will feature the same teams that competed in the Final of the 2013 edition of the tournament. Certainly, Canada will look to change the outcome of that edition, were Cuba won the Gold.
