#FIBAAmericasWomens2015 - TICKETS ON SALE NOW FOR 2015 FIBA AMERICAS WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP

TORONTO - FIBA and Canada Basketball are pleased to announce that tickets for the 2015 FIBA Americas Women's Championship are now on sale on Ticketmaster or at the University of Alberta sales office.
"With an Olympic berth on the line, fan support has never been more important for Team Canada. We can't wait to witness the atmosphere at the 2015 FIBA Americas Women's Championship in Edmonton," said Michele O'Keefe, President & CEO of Canada Basketball.
"This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for fans and our team. Punching our ticket to the 2016 Olympics in Rio on home soil would be a dream come true and fans can help us make that a reality."
The national teams of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Virgin Islands make up the 10-team line-up for the 2015 FIBA Americas Women's Championship.
Fans can support their respective team in Edmonton from 9-16 August with a variety of ticket options, from single game tickets starting at $10.00 to a full $92.00 tournament package.
All games will be played at the Saville Community Sports Centre, the official training grounds of the Canadian women's national Team.

The 2015 FIBA Americas Women's Championship will see 10 teams compete over eight days, with the champions qualifying directly to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
This is the second time Canada has played host to this event. The first time was in Hamilton, Ontario in 1995 where Canada took the gold.
