Boca Juniors is on top of the Argentinean National League after Sunday's action by winning over Obras Sanitarias 82-70.

BRA - Universo comfortable in first place: -
Universon/BRB sits comfortably in first place of the Brazilian National League after an easy win over Paulistano 109-80. Universo has a 14-1 record and has a three game lead over Flamengo and Minas who are tied in second place.

VEN/USA - Vásquez with a great performance in the win by Maryland: -
Venezuelan guard Greivis Vasquez scored 26 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 11 assists as Maryland defeated North Carolina 92-71 in the NCAA.

Obras Sanitarias announced the signing of Argentinean guard and Olympic champion Pepe Sanchez. The veteran guard doesn't play in the Argentinean National League since 1996.

CHI - Chile with a good chance to host the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship for Women: -
The Chilean Basketball Federation submitted their interest to FIBA in order to host the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship for Women. Mr. Lubomir Kotleba, the FIBA Sports Director, visited Chile to inspect the facilities and said: "Chile has great options and is in conditions to host the World Championship."
