ARG/USA - Argentina wins Gold after beating USA in FIBA Americas U18 Championship:

Argentina won the Gold medal in the 2008 FIBA Americas U18 Championship after beating USA 77-64 in the final game played at Polideportivo Cincuentenario of Formosa.

USA - Kemba Walker selected as the MVP: -
USA junior national team point guard Kemba Hudley Walker (Rice H.S. / New York, N.Y.) was selected as the MVP of the FIBA Americas U18 Championship that ended today at Polideportivo Cincuentenario in Formosa, Argentina. Born on May 8, 1990, Walker showed to be a dominant guard, full of technical skills and incredible velocity.

CAN/PUR - Canada wins Bronze after defeating Puerto Rico: -
Canada won the Bronze Medal at the 2008 FIBA Americas U18 Championship after defeating Puerto Rico 83-68 in the final round. Both teams already qualified for the FIBA U19 World Championship in New Zealand.

PUR - 'YAO' Lopez the new hope of Puerto Rican basketball: -
His name is Carlos Lopez (6'10"), they call him "Yao" and is the new hope of Puerto Rican basketball, he studies in Las Vegas, Nevada (USA). He said "This type of short tournament are very hard and players make mistakes because they are tired".
