Real Madrid is the 2015 Intercontinental Cup Champion!

Sao Paulo, Brazil (2015 Intercontinental Cup) – The Champion of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Real Madrid won the second game of the intercontinental competition, 91-79, to in the 2015 Intercontinental Cup.

• Turning Point: With 2:30 to play in the third quarter, the score was tied at 55. A streak of 6-0 and Madrid took distance on the scoreboard. At the end of the third, Pablo Laso’s team had a 9-point lead, 66-57.

A triple by Llull and the advantage of the Europeans rose to 12, with 4 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Madrid began to freeze time, thanks to Ayon who became a giant in the paint. A triple by Thompkins and the advantage of Madrid was at 13 with 2 minutes left. Fischer scored from long range, but Madrid found a way to respond. Real Madrid stayed away on the scoreboard and took the victory, 91 - 79.

• Stats don’t lie: Madrid dominated the rebounding battle, 41-21, taking clear advantage in offensive rebounds, 14-5.

• Game Hero: The MVP of the 2015 Intercontinental Cup, was Sergio Llull who accumulated 17 points in the first game and 21 points in the second game.

• The Bottom Line: The Real Madrid add another Intercontinental Cup to their trophy case and with this title the team concludes a perfect season, where they won every competition in which they participated. Meanwhile, the team of Bauru will defend their title of the Liga de las Ameircas beginning in January, with a new edition of the continental league.
