PUR- FIBA Américas U18 Championship for Women Draw results

San Juan, Puerto Rico- The draw for the FIBA Americas U18 Championship for Women was hel in the afternoon at the headquarters of the Basketball Federation of Puerto Rico at the Olympic House in San Juan, under the leadership of Sports Director of FIBA Americas, Mr. Aníbal García and the results were as follows:

Group A - USA (USA), Argentina (ARG), Dominican Republic (DOM) and Colombia (COL)

Group B - Canada (CAN), Brazil (BRA), Mexico (MEX) and Puerto Rico (PUR)

Puerto Rico, in the figure of Omar Gonzalez, National Team coach women, selected to play in Group B and schedule their meetings to face Canada, Brazil and Mexico.

The activity was attended by the president of FIBA Americas, Mr. Horacio Muratore, general secretary of this Institution, Mr. Alberto Garcia, President of the Basketball Federation of Puerto Rico, Carlos Beltrán and mayor of Gurabo municipality, Victor Ortiz.

The FIBA Americas U18 female will be played from August 15 to 19 in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. The tournament qualifies four teams for the U19 FIBA World Championship 2013, to be held in Lithuania from 18 to 28 of July next year.
