LSBF2012- The unbeatens remain on top

Quito, Ecuador - On the second day of battles of the South American Championship Women's Clubs, teams Lanus of Argentina, ADCF Unimed of Brazil and U.T.E of Ecuador, keeps their unbeatens.

The first game was the most competitive of the night. The first half of the clash between Regatas Lima (PER) and Lanus (ARG) was lead by Perú with one point up on the scoreboard, 25-24. The story changed in the third quarter with a dominant team of Argentina that marked advantage of 21-9, decisive to finish the day 60-54. The best scorer of Lanus was Andrea Boquet, who had his second big night with 20 points and 9 rebounds. While on Regatas Lima, Zuleira Aties defended his jersey with 18 points and 5 rebounds.

In the second game, the battle ended with 30-point of advantage. The action was protagonize by Brazilian teams Ourinhos and ADCF Unimed, in a dominated game by Unimed 48-23 in the first half. The last two quarters were the most competitive with a decisive Ourinhos team, who returned to the arena to defend his squad, but his opponent Unimed was focused to finish what they started.  The action ended 84-54 in favor of Unimed.  Clarissa Dos Santos was the best scorer of Unimed with 21 points and 10 rebounds.  And, Ourinhos had a great Joice De Souza with 15 points and 5 rebounds.

The night ended with a double digit victory ahead. The U.T.E. (ECU) beats Club Malvin (URU) with a score of 80-61. Ecuador's victory was predictable after the first half amply dominated 41-24.  In the third quarter, Malvin Club dominated the game by two points 14-16 ahead, but the advantage was already marked. UTE returned determinant in the final quarter with 25-21, to finish the day with 19 points up on the scoreboard. The night was productive for the team of Ecuador.  They had 3 players with double digits annotations.  Paola Ferrari produced 31 points and 3 assists.  Meanwhile, Club Malvin had defenses Amber Metoyer with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Eboni Magnum with 10 points and 3 assists.

Today, Club Regatas Lima faces Malvin early, while in the second game the battle will be between Lanus and Ourinhos, and to close the day ADCF Unimed UTE and dispute the undefeated.
