Spain2014 - Harden, Davis take the lead for USA

James Harden and Anthony Davis shone as USA Basketball rookies at the 2012 London Olympics. Both came up with some eye-opening plays to help the United States go unbeaten and defend the title the country had won in Beijing four years earlier.


Spain2014 - Impressive Franklin claims spot in Puerto Rico squad

Puerto Rico coach Paco Olmos has settled on his 12-man squad for the FIBA Basketball World Cup. In addition to veterans Carlos Arroyo, Jose Barea, David Huertas, Alex Galindo, Renaldo Balkman, Ricky Sanchez and Daniel Santiago, Olmos has included Carlos Rivera, Alex Franklin, Angel Vassallo, Ramon Clemente and Jorge Brian Diaz.


SUDFEM14 – Brazil took the Gold, adding their 15th title in a row

The team directed by Luiz Zanón defeated their archrivals, Argentina, by 59-47 in the final of XXXIV South American Championship which took place in Ambato and stretched their titles run to 15 without interruption. Jaqueline Silvestre was the scorer of the game with 15 points (4/5 three pointers).


SUDFEM14 – Venezuela took home the Bronze Medal

The team directed by Oscar Silva defeated Chile, 72-54 and thus won the bronze medal of the XXXIV South American Championship. The team also took the last available spot in the 2015 Toronto Pan American Games.


SUDFEM14 – Ecuador was fifth and Uruguay was seventh

The final day of the 2014 South American Championship for Women determined the final positions of the tournament. Uruguay defeated Peru, to claim the seventh position, and in the second game, the local retained a major victory in overtime against Paraguay, to obtain the fifth position of the tournament.


SUDFEM14 - Boquete: "Rio de Janeiro 2016 is a dream for many of us"

Andrea Boquete returned this year to the Argentina team after 21 months of not being able to defend the jersey in international tournaments and was an important figure during the ODESUR Games in Santiago de Chile and today is one of the most prominent players in the XXXIV South American Championship of Ambato.
