#FIBAAmericasWomen2015 - Puerto Rico won and will play for third place in Group A

EDMONTON (2015 FIBA Americas Women’s Championship) - Puerto Rico suffered, but won against the Dominican Republic, 65-56.

• Turning Point: The Dominican rallied in the fourth quarter and tied the score at 52 with 2:50 to play. A triple by Placido began a run of Puerto Rico that led them to take a lead of 8 points for the win.

• Stats don’t lie: Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic were leveled in most areas of the statistics, the only major difference was in the range of the assists where the Puerto Ricans accumulated 18, in comparison to 9 from the Dominicans.

• Game Hero: Sandra Garcia was the best for the Puerto Ricans, accumulating 16 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist.

• The Bottom Line: Puerto Rico will face Chile, tomorrow on the last day of the group stage, to determine the third place of Group A and who will play for the fifth place of the 2015 FIBA Americas Women’s Championship.
